A classic Telefunken wooden radio cabinet, gutted and given a second life — the right way. All the original electronics came out, and in went a Sonos speaker and a USB light bulb tucked inside the cabinet. That's it. No Raspberry Pi, no custom firmware — just good sound and a warm glow coming through the old speaker grille and dial face.
The bluish and greenish tint you see in the photos is exactly that: the light bulb casting its glow through the translucent parts of the cabinet. It looks like a glowing retro terminal, but really it's just a Sonos playing music in a beautiful old wooden box. Sometimes the simplest approach gives the best result.
