Riso creator (online)

A fun little tool to help you create dot like or interesting Risa prints.

A while back, I built a tool to convert grayscale images into dot patterns — think halftone, but with a twist. The idea is simple: light colors become small dots, dark colors become large dots. The result has this satisfying, almost analog quality to it.

Fast forward to now, and with the help of Claude Code and a bit of imagination, I've taken that concept much further. The tool now comes packed with settings you can tweak to your heart's content, giving you full control over the output — perfect for visual prints and creative experiments.

One of the most fun things you can do is go duotone: dial in the settings for two separate tones, overlay them, and watch something unexpectedly interesting emerge. But if you just need a clean halftone look, the basic black conversion has you covered — that's the go-to for most use cases. There's also a grayscale mode that lets you play with varying dot intensities for a more nuanced result. The best way to discover what it can do is to just jump in and start experimenting.
