Another project from a Vershout workshop — this time a full work bench built from raw, bark-on timber. Chunky log legs, a thick slab top with holdfast holes, and that mossy, straight-from-the-forest look that only fresh green wood gives you. There's even a small stool perched on top, also made from sticks, because why not.
The bench lived in the garden for a couple of years and held up well — it was built solid. But eventually the outdoors won and it had to be thrown away. It had a good run. The photo at least captures it in its prime: shavings on the ground, someone leaning into a piece of work, the bench doing exactly what it was made to do.
